what do i feed my sick ferret, he wont eat regular food?

His leg broke without me knowing, then i figured out that he had recently gotten out of his cage, i found him dragging himself accross the floor. Now that i have tooken care of a special little cage for him, put tape and gauz around his broken foot, held him and put a heating pad around him untill he falls asleep, the problem now is that he wont eat his food. Please give me advice!!!

  1. cooked meat and raw egg. they love it

  2. he is likely in extreme pain!
take the poor thing to the vets to get his leg sorted out properly!!

Bandaging it yourself, there could be all sorts of problems. The leg is likely not to set properly, infection could set in, something needs to be done about his pain….

You should be on your way to the vet if you want your ferret to live. If he broke his leg thats very stressful and it needs to be reset by a vet. He is probably not eating because of the pain.

  4. You should really take him to the vet to get the leg set. It probably needs a soft cast too. That is the most important thing. Even after seeing the vet, he will still be in pain and will still not have much of an appetite. You can feed him what’s called Duk Soup. It’s basically luquid food. Go to the link I put below, it has some good recipes.

  5. well if you can go to the vet IMMEDIATELY!!!!!!! BUT IF YOU CANT I WOULD PEFEFR YOU TO GO ON THE INTERNET TO FIND SOMETHING HELPFUL BECAUSE THIS CAN CAUSE A DISEASE BECAUSE OF BACTERIA INFECTION THE BEST WOULD BE TO SPEND TIME WITH HER PET HER,MAKE HER FEEL COMFORTABLE AND I HOPE THE BEST FOR YOU AND YOUR FURRY FRIEND.
    HAVE A GREAT DAY

duck soup and/or little bit of wet kitten food and/or little bit of baby food. Teaspoon of ferravite a week, depending how thin, when I adopted mine she was deathly skinny so i did 2 times a week.
