I just recently got 2 ferrerts and a few days later one of them started sneezing and i guess you could say weezing but it sounds like hes blowing his nose. But he is acting normal and playing fine. Is he is sick if so what should i do and could it be from somthing in hos cage like bedding. If he is sick could the other one get sick now too.
Also do ferrets stress easy, do they handle frequent car rides well?

ferrets can catch human colds, it could be that or it could be allergies. what type of litter/bedding are you using? does it make dust at all? i used paper (carefresh) litter in my ferrets litter pans and no bedding in the cage, instead i had carpet squares that could be easily replaced or cleaned when they got dirty.i would say give it a few days (as long as he is eating, drinking and breathing ok), if after a few days he doesn’t get any better, bring him to the vets, he might need some antibiotics. just remember if you have a cold try not to handle your ferrets too much till you get better, unlike most animals, they can catch our colds and vice versa.
as far as stress about the car- it really depends on the ferret. mine didn’t mind it at all. try it out and see how they react. just make sure they don’t get loose in the car!

Please do NOT give it a few days. When ferrets get sick they go down hill very, very quickly. While It is possible he is allergic to something it but this is far more likely that he has an upper respiratory infection. YES your other ferret can get sick also. Ferrets also stress very easily They bond to their humans and ferret buddies so strongly that they have been known to die when separated from them. This actually happened with my first two ferrets. One passed from cancer and within a month, his buddy passed. We spent a fortune in vet bills- there was nothing wrong with him but a broken heart. He missed his buddy. He died from a broken heart.
If you are new to ferrets, congratulations, they are a sheer joy and will be lots of fun for you but just in case… Make sure that you do NOT feed them any fruits, grains, milk products, sweets or nuts. They are obligate carnivores which means they should only eat meat. A raw diet is the best, but if you have to use kibble, make sure that it is a minimum of 40% protein (from meat only) and 20% fat.. Please give plenty of blankets to burrow into and tunnels to play in. They love hammocks and cardboard boxes and baskets to sleep in . The black plastic flexible tubes.. from hardware stores are cheap and ferrets love them.
